A Thai subsidiary of Delta Electronics (台達電子), a power-electronics group in Taipei, bought about 5.03 billion yen (about US$32 million) of equipment from Japan's Fuji Corporation between May 12 and Nov. 5, Delta said in a Nov. 5 filing. Thailand has become a far bigger market for the supplier: Fuji's sales to customers there in the six months to September were more than five times those of a year earlier, based on figures released by Fuji.

[The filing](https://mops.twse.com.tw/mops/web/t05st01?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io), made for Delta Electronics (Thailand), calls the purchase only equipment for operations and doesn't say which machines or for which plant. [Fuji](https://www.fuji.co.jp/en/?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io), based in Chiryu in Japan's Aichi prefecture, mainly makes pick-and-place machines that mount electronic components on circuit boards, along with machine tools and chipmaking machines.

The buyer is in the middle of a factory build-out. [Delta Thailand](https://www.deltathailand.com/en/?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io), which makes power products including power systems for data centers, said in October that it still had a substantial backlog of orders awaiting delivery. It is ramping up two newly completed factory buildings at the Bangpoo Industrial Estate in Thailand and upgrading production lines in new buildings there and at the Wellgrow Industrial Estate.

Sales at Fuji's robot-solutions business rose 68.1% from a year earlier to 123.5 billion yen (about US$780 million) from April through September, [it said](https://www.fuji.co.jp/ir/library/pdf/20261105%5FCONSOLIDATED%5FFINANCIAL%5FRESULTS%5FJ.pdf?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io) on Nov. 5\. Fuji credits growing demand in Asia, centered on Thailand, China, Vietnam and Malaysia, for equipment used for AI servers and semiconductors, along with stronger demand in North America. It names no customers. Its sales to customers in Thailand, across all its businesses, reached 24.9 billion yen (about US$157 million), or 19.5% of its total sales, up from 6.1% a year earlier.

Fuji's sales to customers in China rose to 31.8 billion yen over the same six months, from 26.2 billion a year earlier, though China's share of its sales fell to 24.9% from 32.9%. [Delta](https://www.deltaww.com/?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io) is still buying in China too: its subsidiary in Dongguan, in southern China, disclosed about 591.9 million yuan (about US$88 million) of equipment bought from a single supplier between Oct. 16, 2025, and Oct. 7, 2026.
