[RoboSense](https://www.robosense.ai/en?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io) sold more light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors in the first nine months of 2026, about 1.31 million, than in all of 2025, when the Shenzhen company sold about 912,000\. The Xiaomi supplier reported the nine-month figure to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Oct. 9.

The third quarter did much of the work, with sales nearly double the first quarter’s: about 595,600 units, against 330,300 in the first quarter and 388,900 in the second. Most of the gain came from advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for cars, up to about 450,400 units from 291,800; robotics and other uses rose to 145,200 from 97,100\. RoboSense didn’t say what drove the jump. Two products were new around then: [Xiaomi](https://www.mi.com/global/?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io)’s SkyNomad N90 Max, unveiled July 30, uses RoboSense’s digital solid-state LiDAR exclusively, and the E2, a second-generation solid-state LiDAR for humanoid, four-legged and lawn-mowing robots, went into volume shipments.

Cars take most of the units, but robotics customers increasingly pay the bills. Robotics brought in nearly half of RoboSense’s product revenue in the first half of 2026, up from about a tenth in 2024, when its ADAS and robotics revenue split about 9 to 1.

The quarterly figures are unaudited and preliminary, RoboSense notes.
