# Yunji robots expand from hotels to apartments; healthcare and other sectors planned

Beijing robot maker [Yunji Technology](https://www.yunjichina.com.cn/?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io) (云迹科技), whose robots carry items to guests' rooms in hotels, says its robots were carrying delivery-app orders from building lobbies to residents' doors in about 400 apartment properties at the end of September. The busiest handles about 650 orders per day, the company said in an [Oct. 16 business update](https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2026/1016/2026101600045.pdf?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io) filed in Hong Kong.

Yunji has signed strategic agreements with two delivery platforms, Taobao Instant Commerce and [Meituan](https://www.meituan.com/en-US/about-us?ref=asia-tech-news.ghost.io), to route their orders into its robot network. The service isn't making money yet, but the company plans to take a share of the revenue on each order it fills.

Hotels remain its base: Yunji says its products have reached more than 45,000 hotels in all. Across its business, the average number of its robots online at the same time each day rose about 20% to 25% in the first nine months of 2026 from a year earlier.

Yunji is also reaching beyond hotels by supplying the core mobility technology and modules inside partners' robots for health care, manufacturing and property services. One partner's 100 robots are being deployed across several hospitals, and deliveries are under way on another partner's 1,000-robot order.

Yunji, founded in 2014 and listed in Hong Kong in October 2025, says it expects to sign up foreign distributors in Norway, Greece, Germany and France within a month.
