Hikvision leads China's online dashcam market in August

China's online dashcam retail market grew to 316,000 units in August, up 5.4% from July, with revenue of about US$17.9 million (RMB 120 million), up 9.3%, according to market-research firm RUNTO (洛图科技). Hikvision led with an 18.3% volume share and a 15.7% revenue share. Its volume share rose 1.7 percentage points from July, driven by high-end models with 4K video, front-and-rear recording and parking monitoring, the MyDrivers report says.

Its largest rivals, DDPAI (盯盯拍), 70mai (70迈) and 360, trailed with volume shares of 10% to 13%. 70mai ranked second by revenue, with 14.5%. The average selling price rose 3.8% to about US$56.9 (RMB 382.1), which RUNTO attributes to a bigger share of sales for mid- and high-end models.
