Neolix raises nearly US$400 million, says delivery fleet tops 30,000 vans
Neolix is hitting ambitious deployment goals, but consistent profit is another story.
Beijing-based driverless delivery-van maker Neolix (新石器) has raised nearly US$400 million in a Series E round, the company said in an Oct. 20 announcement carried by Gasgoo (盖世汽车). The announcement gives no fleet count. Neolix's latest disclosure puts its fleet at more than 30,000 vans deployed worldwide, Jiemian (界面新闻) reported.
Founder Yu Enyuan (余恩源) said in late August that the fleet had passed 27,000 vans, iFeng Tech (凤凰网科技) reported from a 2026 World Robot Conference forum. He said Neolix plans to pass 50,000 by the end of 2026 and expects 150,000 in 2027. Reaching 50,000 would take roughly 20,000 more vans before the end of 2026, by our count.
The round comes less than a year after a Series D of more than US$600 million, Jiemian reported. Neolix says it has now raised more than RMB 10 billion (about US$1.5 billion) in all. Boyu Capital (博裕投资) led the round with a national-level fund, which Jiemian identified as China's national artificial intelligence industry investment fund (国家人工智能产业投资基金). Funds belonging to Alibaba and Singapore state investor Temasek (淡马锡) also invested.
The Series E funds will go into local service centers at major regional hubs around the world and into training its end-to-end driving models, to improve safety and cut lifetime upkeep costs, the Economic Observer (经济观察网) reported. Neolix says it has deployed driverless vans in the Middle East, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia. In China, it had put more than 1,200 vans on the road in Qingdao, a port city in Shandong province, by December 2025, working with Didi's freight-delivery service (滴滴送货), IT Home (IT之家) reported.
Neolix has company at that scale. Zelostech (九识智能), a rival van maker based in Suzhou, Jiangsu, runs more than 30,000 vans worldwide, the Economic Observer reported. No company in the sector makes money at scale yet, the paper added; Neolix and Zelostech have both claimed single-quarter profits, but it said those came only from some operations with dense orders and did not cover company-wide costs.
